Drop into place.
Pull a window to the top of your display to choose its spot. Fill the remaining spaces with other windows, including multiple windows from the same app.
Resize together.
Move a shared edge and neighboring windows adjust with it. Keep your proportions, reset a divider to equal halves, or reclaim a full column when a split becomes empty.
Keep a stack.
Put several windows in the same spot. Reveal the stack switcher beneath the traffic lights, or press Control–Option–S, and switch between window cards.
Take your layout home.
Build custom layouts with the visual editor. Export a portable layout file and import it on another Mac. Each display keeps its own arrangement.
Up and running
One app. Your Mac.
- Download the ZIP, open it, and move TopSnap.app to Applications.
- Launch TopSnap. Its controls live in the menu bar.
- Use Enable Window Control in Getting Started to open the macOS permission settings, then enable TopSnap. Window control permission lets it move and resize other apps.
- For reliable corner drops, turn off macOS’s own Drag windows to left or right edge of screen to tile option in Desktop & Dock.
- Drag a window to the top center of a display, pause over a region, and release. Or choose a full composition from the menu bar’s Choose a Layout flyout.
Window thumbnails use optional screen-capture permission. Without it, the switcher shows app icons and window titles. Previews stay in memory and disappear when the picker closes. No accounts, telemetry, or automatic update checks.
Hold Option while dragging to bypass snapping. Escape cancels a placement preview. Some apps impose minimum window sizes; TopSnap restores a placement it cannot fit.
